Individual solutions with WordPress, instead of off-the-shelf themes
It is not for nothing that WordPress has become the most popular web CMS since its launch in 2003: Not only more than 60% of all CMS-based websites are operated with WordPress, even 34%, i.e. every fourth of all websites run on WordPress.
The advantages of WordPress as a platform for your new website are manifold:

WordPress is open source
This ensures that WordPress is constantly being improved by a strong and worldwide community.
Anyone can participate and, above all, easily understand what WordPress is doing in its source code.
Furthermore, the commissioning of a WordPress-based website is not associated with any license
costs for the system as such.
WordPress is easy to use
Anyone who has already used other web CMS knows a thing or two about it: You just want to change
the text on the start page and suddenly you can no longer find yourself in your own system.
The WordPress user interface, on the other hand, is tidy, intuitive, and friendly. Even without prior
knowledge, editors can quickly find their way around and get their work done.
WordPress is easy to keep up to date
Updates for WordPress appear very frequently - especially when compared to competing solutions.
Thus, relevant security gaps are often closed within a few hours after they become known.
New features and improvements to existing functions also appear almost weekly. The installation of
the updates - at least done regularly and professionally - is quick and extremely rarely leads to
compatibility problems.

WordPress can do SEO
WordPress comes naturally with strong features when it comes to search engine optimization:
Speaking URLs, clear page titles, and semantic content ensure that Google itself has already
praised it several times.
Despite all its advantages, WordPress is always the subject of criticism. It is considered unsafe, it
is not scalable, and reaches its limits as soon as websites with more complex content or functions
are to be created.
Due to user experiences with bad plugins and cheap themes, we keep hearing reservations. For
us at SCHUMACHER, however, the advantages predominate - we really enjoy working with
WordPress and we are very good at it. Due to our many years of experience, we adhere to strict
rules when creating websites with WordPress.
We are extremely economical in the use of plugins
“There is such a plugin that can do it…” - you often hear this from customers and unfortunately from
other WordPress developers as well.
What often seems like a simplification at first glance turns out to be a major source of problems:
The quality of WordPress plugins is often mixed - not every plugin developer adheres to the standards
in terms of code quality and updates that WordPress adheres to.
Very often, plugins cannot fully or individually fulfill the desired functions and you have to adapt these
functions with great effort or live with compromises. Solutions in plugins are often implemented
according to the watering principle since the largest possible group of website operators should install
them.
Sometimes plugins are then installed for trivial requirements, which, due to their poor quality, extremely
slow down the website and become real security gaps and gateways for attackers.
We prefer to solve your problem individually and precisely than pulling a plug-in from the quiver for
every little problem.
We never use off-the-shelf themes
Since our roots are in visual communication, we have our hearts and eyes for good design. We are
convinced that every brand has its individual character and this must also be reflected in its presence
on the web.
Finished WordPress themes are the opposite of individual: In extreme cases, they are also used on up
to 39,000 other websites and these websites, all look more or less the same.
Adjustments of the colors and fonts are usually only possible with unjustified effort, extensive
interventions in the layout are almost impossible. We always have the experience that if you start
pulling at one end of a finished theme, you break something in three other places.
This form of work cannot be calculated, the quality cannot be guaranteed according to our requirements.
Similar to plugins, the code quality of themes is sometimes more than dubious - here, too, the shotgun
is supposed to cover as many requirements as possible and themes are delivered with a lot of
superfluous scripts and third-party plugins.
This makes websites with ready-made themes sometimes extremely slow and difficult to maintain.
Experience has shown that it is hardly possible to deactivate or remove unnecessary functions again
and again.
